When people describe Kentucky, they often use the term "hard-scrabble." That means things in Kentucky can get pretty tough. They're tough for progressives these days, that's for sure. With the Green Party kicked out of action, progressives in Kentucky only have the Democratic Party to turn to for representation, and some Democrats have proved more trustworthy than others. There is good reason for Kentucky progressives to feel discouraged. Yet, progressives in Kentucky keep at it, working hard even the forces of fear and nationalism seem poised to destroy all the fruits of their efforts.
We have come across many good organizations and individuals in our quest for Kentucky progressives, but we know that there are even more to be found. We want to help Kentucky progressives in their work for positive change, so, if you know of any progressive groups, information resources, or candidates in Kentucky that we don't already have listed here, drop us a line and we will happily consider adding links to them as a part of this growing catalog of freedom and idealism in Kentucky.
